Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I don’t know how I missed this place the first time I passed by it during my loops around SM-BF, where I go to pad my Fitbit steps. The place was gleaming in its blue and white motif, made even brighter by an abundance of LED lights. Yet, I didn’t see it until my second pass, and I was glad I did get to check it out eventually. Zus Coffee offers excellent coffee for half the price of its much bigger rivals. I tried their ‘CEO latte’ – the closest they have to a flat white. It was creamy, and its flavour was robust, not diluted as most tend to be. What really killed it, though, was the price: Just 90 pesos, half that of the comparable latte at Starbucks, which is always reliable in its inconsistency. The main drawback at this outlet is its staffing. The crew isn't as well-oiled and efficient as Starbucks' always perky, names-challenged baristas. The guy at the cashier got my order wrong – it was iced, not hot – and he seemed to have gotten himself lost in a lengthy roll of receipts, when he had just three people in his queue. The place also has only two tables, with four seats each, plus a long sofa bench for those waiting for their coffee. At its current state, this outlet at SM-BF will grind to a halt if a large, coffee-mad crowd descends on it. But then again, scaling up doesn't seem to be its priority now. It seems happy just being a hole in the wall serving up good, reasonably priced coffee."
"Convenient location at 2/F SM City BF Paranaque; The tidy & brightly-lit seating area is inviting although limited as the place gets busy especially with take-out orders; Efficient & courteous staff although patience is the key if the waiting time stretches to more than 15 minutes when Grab riders are queued up; CEO Latte and Gula Melaka with the Boss beans selection are my go to options for hot & iced drinks respectively Reasonable prices for the quality offerings."
"I loved the Ube Frappe! It's like slurping down halo-halo minus the sinkers. It was a delight. A little too sweet to my liking but definately some thing worth trying. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again since there are alot of other options in my area. But if this is near you, check it out. Pretty affordable too plus they use straws made out of rice!"
"This was a surprise! The price range was close to cafes of the likes of Pickup Coffee, Dot Coffee so I was expecting the same medjo watered down or too milky taste. So I was surprised to find out the iced latte was quite good, not too milky, I can still taste the espresso shot. The Gula Melaka was also really good. Kind of like a Southeast Asian spanish latte haha because it uses panda syrup and some coconut cream. Highly recommend Price - for two drinks, both subbed with oat milk, Php 250! That's the price of one drink in a lot of specialty coffee places these days. If regular milk, mga < Php 100 for each. Now I know where to go to if I'm craving for a good iced latte for a good price."
"This is a pleasant place to spend maybe an hour at the mall. Finally, a cafe to compete with overhyped SB one floor down. Coffee is good. So are the pastries. And better priced than SB. Also of Malaysian origin, just like Old Town."
"First look it’s going to be expensive. Look at the menu and youre gonna expect the coffee to be bad/bland. Taste the coffee and Im wrong from the start. Their coffee is good and on the cheaper side! Their tag line is “a Necessity not a Luxury” and I believe (so far) that they’re being true to it! I got their espresso to taste the “core” of their coffee and it wasnt sour or bitter! Must try!"
"The branch of Zus Coffee is not that big..it can only accommodate a seating capacity of around 10-12 customers. Service staff is fast and friendly."
"4 stars for the app! Quick and easy way to order. Tried the gula melaka coffee, not sure if I like the coconut taste, but excited to try the others"
